Vintage Restoration.  Vintage audio equipment requires special care because of its age.  Electronic components used in vintage gear deteriorate with time and are expected to last seven to ten years.  This means that no, you're not losing your hearing because yes - your equipment does not sound like you used to!  However, don't hit the panic button, there's hope.

Harmony Audio has the experience and the equipment to expertly work on your equipment.  Our test bench features such kit as the Sound Technology 1701A Distortion measurement system, the 1200A Stereo test panel and 1000A Fm Alignment generator, a Fluke 123 Scopemeter, a 3 part desoldering/soldering station... as well as a Hickok 580A, Hickok 539C, and a B&K 747 tube tester.

The repair gallery showcases a few of the pieces we have worked on lately.  Over the years, we have serviced equipment from such classic names as Acrosound, Acoustic Research, Carver, Dynaco, Fisher, Harman Kardon, H.H. Scott, Jensen, Kenwood, Marantz, McIntosh, Nakamichi, Pioneer, Quad, and Revox.   Just to name a few.

Original or vintage parts are always used as replacements, when they are available.  Switches, meters, transformers, tube sockets, nearly any component can be restored to it's original condition.  Your musical treasure can be restored to factory spec and will be handled as if it were our own.

Upgrades and modifications are available, including the removal of barrier strips.  We also cater to any special preferences you may have, and are able to correct ill modifications and repairs performed by lesser hands.

A 30-day warranty is offered on any work we perform.  These are not hollow words, but a promise that all work will be performed with surgical precision.  We are dedicated to preserving your vintage gear!

Contact us to discuss what we can do for your particular vintage example.  Your ears and your equipment will graciously thank you.
